NEW YORK – “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino reveals in her memoirs that she is functionally illiterate and had to fake her way through some scripted portions the televised talent show, which she won in 2004.

Read the rest of the article here. I found this interesting, in fact, it is some what along the lines of what my friend Brett was referring to in his post The American Idol Syndrome. (Correct me if I’m wrong Brett.) In his post, he didn’t have many concrete, modern examples, (through no fault of his own). But as if to prove what he was saying was accurate…*Ta-da!* The unfortunate circumstances that caused this problem are not Ms. Barrino’s fault…100%. Her reaction to it, is her responsibility. That’s all in the past, but I thought it followed a lot of what the Rebelution has been discussing. Soli Deo Gloria!
